my/your/his/her etc. siempre van seguidas de un sustantivo
his/her/their, que corresponden al español su/sus se refieren al poseedor (masculino/femenino/plural) y no a lo poseído.
PARA SABER:
my money = mi dinero
your friend = tu amigo
your telephone = tu teléfono
his sister = la hermana de él (su hermana)
her brother = el hermano de ella (su hermano)
